National November Writing Month

Caution: Paula will not be available for anything social in ALL of November. Yes, you all heard that right. In my travels in cyberspace, I came upon a site called www.nanowrimo.org where people are encouraged to pretty much stop their social lives to write a 175-page novel in 30 days. That's an average of SIX pages per day. Granted, they said it doesn't have to be quality work but it just needs to be a novel of some sort that has 50,000 words by November 30.

I figured since I need to be kicked in the ass about this travel novel that I was supposed to be writing by now, why not use this as a means to be kicked in the ass?

So everyone, no parties. No readings. No dinners. No movies. No attending other people's readings for all of November for Paula.

Notes of encouragement will be appreciated, though. :)

I will inform people of the progress of this novel on this page. Wish me luck.
